Betrip: My first start-up like project
Betrip… a student’s idea for students 👨🎓
The result of a long week of brainstorming, Betrip was born out of a problem we all experienced as students: the difficulty of finding out about destinations abroad.
We all had to go abroad in 4th year, but where? It’s a difficult question, between the budget, the specificities or even the culture of a country, it can be hard to choose.
And once you’ve made up your mind, the difficulty only increases: how do you get a visa? how do you integrate once you’re in the country? etc.
Betrip is the solution that accompanies you from your choice of destination to the end of your stay. If you have Betrip, you don’t need anything else!
A worthwhile technical challenge 🔥
Beyond the promise, the challenge is tough… How to have data on everything, up to date and automated
From the beginning, we’ve understood that the key to success is data, Our plan is to develop an intelligent scraping system that will automatically update content.
We’re thinking about using deep learning models to assist our scraping algorithms in its task.
However, the challenge also lies in the user experience, Users have to be so amazed by the application that they’ll want to spread the word and become its advocates.
To address these issues, we use Python for data processing, which has the advantage of possessing the scientific libraries that enable this, while the rest of the back-end is in Golang for its performance and streamlined syntax, not to mention the rich ecosystem it provides.
The user interface uses to accompany the user on his journey.
Everything is hosted on AWS, while we use the Azure VMs provided by the school for our development environment.
Just the beginning, but what about the rest? 🔭
At the moment, the project is still in its early stages of development, But in the future, Betrip could become the leading travel application.
